Paid To Click is an online business model that draws online traffic from people aiming to earn money from home. Paid-To-Click, or simply PTC websites, act as middlemen between advertisers and consumers; the advertiser pays for displaying ads on the PTC website, and a part of this payment goes to the viewer when he views the advertisement.
In addition, most PTC sites offer a commission to its members for signing up new members (similar to many affiliate marketing programs online), or they may pay members a percentage of the clicks that their referrals make as an ongoing commission.
The viability of the PTC business model has been questioned, as fraudulent clicks have ramped up the expenses for advertisers.[1] With lawsuits filed against the internet search companies, the burden has been placed on Google, Yahoo and others to determine valid clicks from fraudulent ones.
This should not be confused with PPC where advertiser pays the site per click generated from any user.
Even though advertisements are the most widely known method for PTC sites to stay alive, much of the profit can come from the direct sales of referrals or upgrade packages which are created by the owner of each PTC site. This has led to the proliferation of online scams or ponzi schemes being created with PTC sites as a cover, as members are encouraged to buy referrals that are not actually human or upgrade packages that offer no real value.[citation needed] As well, some sites[who?] may request that their users pay an "upgrade fee" before being able to cash out their earnings, and then not paying out earnings after these fees are paid.
Scams, although exposed on various PTC forums, are still heavily used by newcomers who are drawn in to the websites by search engines. Scam PTC sites are known to attract new users with cheap offers for upgrades and referrals and disappear without trace after a short time.
How Does A PTC Site Work?
Usually every ptc site comes with a number of ads which you have to click on in order to earn the money
Every ad presented in your members area can be clicked only once in 24h. After you‘ve clicked on the ad you will have to wait a number of seconds in order to receive the credits. In the most common situations you will have to wait 30s.
At the end of those 30s, in the top left side of your browser window will appear a small icon which may vary from one PTC to another: a checkmark or a dollar sign… something like in the following picture:
When that kind of icon shows up it means you will receive your money, but there are cases when a red button/sign appears showing that somehow you missed the credit for that ad (this happens sometimes when you have more than one browser windows opened in the same time):
Anyway, to be sure that you will receive the credits for every ad you click, all you have to do is check carefully the TOS for each PTC site.
If you respect their rules you will most certainly receive your credits and also credits from your referrals work.

That’s why in the last few months a lot of people asked me if all kinds of ptc sites are scams or not, because they wanted to join these sites or to invest money in them…
I wrote this post to remind all of you that this blog already have the answers to this kind of questions and to announce that from now on I won’t respond to this question again.

You really need to learn how to make this research for yourself.
In this way you will not need to wait again days (or even weeks

So how we find out if a ptc site is scam or not(or any kind of site…)?
-go to Google, write the name of the ptc site followed by the word “scam” and hit enter.(for example if you want to know if gagabux.com is scam or legit you write in the search box:gagabux.com scam and then hit enter).
-another way is to search by the name of that ptc site followed by the word ”review” or “reviews”.
If the site is scam when you search by its name followed by the word scam or review you will find a lot of complaints in the first sites listed on Google.
If the site is very new it’s possible that you won’t find any info about it.
Well It’s quite simple: you need to do more research on this website using the tips from this post: Scam vs Legit PTC Sites.
If you don’t find any complaints or evidence that the website is scam you can join it. Be careful, if the site is very new(just a couple of weeks) is not a wise idea to invest money in it, at least until you cashout money from it once or twice and you know for sure that it pays their members!
And by the way, if a site promise you that you will earn a couple of dollars(or even dozens of dollars) for every click don’t waste your time with research – that site is SCAM.

What is a ptc referral?
A ptc referral is a person that joins a ptc site through your referral link or a person that opened an account at the ptc site and that is attributed to your account by the ptc administrator through the process of renting or buying.
1. Depending on the way you get them:
a) direct referrals;
A direct ptc referral is the person that joins the ptc site through your referral link, from another website, blog, forum or wherever they found your link…
b) rented ptc referrals;
Most of the ptc sites are renting referrals for certain fees. This is possible because there are people that joined the ptc without being referred by other members.
c) bought ptc referrals;
Some of the paying ptc sites don’t just rent referrals they also sell them.
2. Depending on the referrals activity within the ptc website:
a) active ptc referral:
An active ptc referral is a person that click on the ads available in the ptc account every day just like you.
For example: let’s say you’ve referred a person to neobux (like here) and you both have 4 ads every day to click on then this person is an active ptc referrals if he clicks on the 4 ads day after day.
b) inactive ptc referral:
A ptc referral that is inactive is a person you from your downline that doesn’t clik on the ads available in within the ptc website therefore it brings you no profit.
Inactive referrals can be recycled if they were rented and deleted if they were referred through your link or even if they were also rented.
There is really no point keeping the referrals if they are inactive – they represent people that probably forgot about that account.
As for the money you can make with a ptc site… your profit is directly proportional with the number of active referrals you have in your downline.

A very easy way to get referrals for a ptc site is to join dedicated referrals websites.
Joining referrals websites is free and they are very easy to use, you don’t need some sort of skill or knowledge to get referrals.
Well, the process is pretty simple and it is kind of the same for most of the websites I’m going to introduce you to in the next few seconds:
You join every site and then start earning credits at each one of them. With these credits you can advertise on that website or you can offer them to other members in exchange for them to join your ptc websites.
There are 4 ways to get them :
- Click on the advertise links and banners that are placed every day by other members. This way is free and easy but it takes time and lasts at least 7-10 days to get enough credits to subscribe a person to your ptc sites.
- Join other programs listed in and earn the credits that the interested person is offering to you. Not so recommended because soon you’ll get a lot of programs to handle and you won’t be able to manage them all – the idea here is that to get the credits you have stick to some rules like be active for at least 30 days.
- Buy the credits. If time is a major problem then these websites allow you to buy credit packages. I never tried something like this, but if you feel this can help you then you should try it.
- Bring referrals to these programs just as well as you bring to the ptc sites. This is a bit difficult but not impossible, and if you have no idea how to do that you can just stick to the other three options listed above.
Maybe this seems like a lot of work, but you should know these things are a lot more easier than they seem and are in full details explained on the referrals websites, some of them have video tutorials to show you exactly what you have to do to start getting referrals as fast as possible.

One technique to get referrals that is overlooked by many and it’s very easy to use is creating videos and upload them to video sites like Youtube, DailyMotion, Vimeo…etc, so make yourself comfortable and get ready to learn how to get ptc referrals using videos.
First off all you need to understand that there are more types of videos and you can create whatever type you prefer. You don’t need to stay in front of a camera to create a video if you don’t want to.
I know that for most people this is the biggest reason they don’t use this strategy, but as I wrote above you don’t need to do it this way.
Look, there are a ton of crappy videos on Youtube and other sites that get the job done.
Some of them have dozens or even thousands of views, so if other people can create some crappy videos and manage to get thousands of video views and make sales or get more referralsyou can create some videos and have the same results too, or even better ones.
And in most of these crappy videos you wont see any person, more than that in some of them you just hear music and you see some pictures(slides) accompanied by words and that’s it, maybe a little call to action at the end of the video, something like click the link in the description to get bla bla bla or please go to http://www… if you want to know more about…
In some videos you will not hear any music or sounds either and you will not see any text.
Some guys only make a little review of a site in which they film for a few minutes the ptc site they want to promote, they go from page to page and film for a couple of seconds every page, maybe they will show you how to click an add, or how you can buy or rent referrals and then they throw a link in the description and that’s it, these guys are in business, from this point on they will start getting some new refs.
Last night I saw an entire Youtube channel full of videos like this, without voice, text or music or any kind of sounds and I was shocked for a couple of seconds, cuz this guy received almost 300.000 views on all those crappy videos.
So, what should this tell you?
Well, it should tell you that you too should create videos to promote your affiliate ptc links.
You don’t need to create crappy videos like these guys. With a little creative thinking you can do better than that, but even if you only know how to create some crappy videos, just do it, with time you will get better at this and you need to start the process to see with your own eyes that this strategy is working and you will not want to stop doing it 
In this article I will explain to you how you can create videos using a very simple method. It’s a very easy method and because it’s free you don’t have any excuse to not doing it.
In the product(about getting referrals for ptc sites) I will create and sell on this site in the near future I will share more ways to create videos, but in this article I will just stick with one method and this is:
For this to work you will need to have windows movie maker installed on your computer and a program with wich you can make some slides with text and photos.
I use Microsoft Office Powerpoint for the slides, but you can use Google docs or just type in Google – Office Powerpoint alternatives and find something that is free and you feel comfortable enough to use it.
Most windows users have the movie maker program already installed, but if you can’t find it in the C partition on your hard drive(or in the partion where you installed windows) just type”windows movie maker download” in Google search box, go through the first 2-3 sites and download the program and install it on your computer.
If you’re on a mac you can’t use the movie maker program I mentioned above, but you can use Google to find some free alternatives to it or at least some that have a free trial, to at least have time to create a couple of videos without paying(if you like the software and you think you will use it often and have the resources you can pay for it, it’s your choice).
Ok, now that you have the 2 programs installed on your computer start creating slides using Powerpoint or any other free alternative you want to use.
It’s easy to create slides. You just put a sentence or two on every slide and on some of them you can add photos too.
Whe you open the Powerpoint program you will see the image below:
To create slides you need to use the 3 areas you see above.
1 Represents the fields where you can add text to your slide.
2 is a button you can use to insert an image in your slide
3 Here you can add/duplicate/delete/move slides and this is easy. For adding, duplicating and deleting slides just make right click and a menu will appear. For changing the position of a slide just make left click on it, hold it and drag that slide using your mouse where you want it and than just release the left buton of the mouse.
If you don’t like white slides you can go to design(next to the insert button) and change the design of the slides.
4 After you create the slides for your first movie and you are pleased with the result save it on your computer.
For this make left click on the button 4 in the image above, choose Save As and then PowerPoint Presentation.
Here you will need to choose the location on your computer where you want to save the slides and below you have 2 fields. Give a name to your powerpoint presentation in the first field and in the second field(Save as type)choose JPEG File Interchange Format and hit Save.
After this a box will appear with the question – “Do you want to export every slide in the presentation or only the current slide?” Choose every slide and that’s it, you’re done with this.
Now that you’ve finished the powerpoint slides let’s load them into windows movie maker and create the video.
To do this you will need to open the windows movie maker program.

1 Indicates the links you can use to import pictures or music into the program to create your video;
2 is the area where you will see all your imported pictures and the audio file you’ve selected for your movie(or audio files);
3 This is where you will create the video. You need to make right click on a picture and drag and drop it in this area(here you can place them as you want to show up in the video) .
After you’ve done this with all your pictures you can set how many seconds every picture will last in the video and a tranzition effect for each. After this just make right click and drag and drop into this area the audio file yow wish to play in this particular video and you’re almost done.
4 To finish the task click on File, select Save Movie File, leave My computer selected and hit the next button.
Then choose a name for your video file in the first box and the place on you’re computer where you want to save it in the second box and hit next and in the next image hit the next button again and now all you need to do is to wait a couple of seconds for the movie maker program to do its magic and create your video.
Congratulations! You’ve just created your first video with windows movie maker…
Now you can upload this file on every site or blog you want and all the video sharing sites available(start with Youtube – this is the biggest one) and give it a title, write a little description and add some related tags to start getting some referrals.
I know that it seems like a lot of work and boring, but just try it. What do you have to lose? You may end up really liking doing this process (don’t forget about the refs you will get…).

What I like about video marketing is that you only work once, but you can get traffic and referrals for years to come from that effort so think about it. Don’t ignore this strategy, it’s very powerful and anyone with a computer and an internet connection can use it.

How Much Can You Earn From Ptc Sites
This was the question that came in my mind when I’d found the ptc sites for the first time. Now, the answer for this question is different from one ptc to another.
For example if you click on 6 ads/day each bringing you $0.01 and with $0.01 earned for every referral click, here’s what you will have at the end of the day:
$0.06 for your clicks
and
$1.20 for your referrals clicks (let’s say you have only 20 referrals)
Then, your daily earnings will become $1.26; your monthly earning will be $ 37.8; annual earning….well you got the point…
This example was for only 6 ads per day and only 20 referrals, but usually there is nothing stopping you from getting more and more people signup to these kind of websites, and also usually there are more than 6 ads per day on a free membership (a paid membership brings you either more ads per day either better paid ads).
Now you can say ….”I don’t know how to bring referrals” and still you would have no problem at all because you can buy referrals, or even rent them from your ptc site. There is still a downside to renting referrals, and that is – some of them will be inactive therefore will not help you too much, so you could start renting small packages of refs, see how they work and then pass on to a bigger package.
Most of all you shouldn’t rush in buying refs if you do not trust the ptc 100%. First search for information about that ptc, then test it and only after you had no problems with it you can go further with buying/renting refs.
